Aquafil develops polymers which enable the production of plastic parts used to replace components normally made from metal. This decision has improved aerodynamic performance and reduces the weight of the car, thus cutting down on consumption and polluting emissions.

    Textiles on Four Wheels

    The Aquafil Group produces Nylon 6 (Polyamide &) yarn which is particularly popular among customers who produce car mats and upholstery for the automotive market. The German market in particular is extremely important for us, as the German manufacturers with a long tradition of excellence in the European car industry use finished products made from our nylon fibers. For example, end users include brands such as Audi, BMW and Mercedes, the élite among car manufacturers in Europe and beyond.
